Our 5 Ministries: R.I.S.E.S.

The Keweenaw UU Fellowship has established 5 ministries - whose acronym is RISES.
Religious Education
Lifelong growth and learning are central to our Unitarian Universalist faith. In the quest for truth and meaning, for justice, for spiritual and religious depth we have classes, seminars and curriculae from early childhood through adult education. See Learning for details.
Internal Caring
Within Unitarian Universalism, our concern for one another and for our religious movement finds expression in mutual ministries of visits and support groups, and involvement in denominational endeavors. See Get Involved for details.
Sunday Services
Every Sunday at 10:30 the KUUF congregation gathers to celebrate, sing, praise, share, learn, mourn and laugh together in worship and forum. Special services at holidays and holy days welcome in the seasons of religious lives, and can include child and baby dedications, welcoming new members and thanking teachers, and life passages. See Services for details.
External concerns
Social justice programs of the Fellowship express our understanding of living within an interdependent web, and our commitment to take a stand on the side of love as we understand it. See Social Justice for details.
Stewardship
As stewards of one anothers’ resources, and those of the earth, we tend to our governance life through the practice of congregation polity. See About for details about governance, policies, plans, and committees.
